First off I must say that this site is by far superior then the
rest, even as an IMPERIAL GANGSTER seeing some of the Graffiti, Cards, and even some of the faces of some of you G/L'Z brings backk alot of good memories. I have nothing but respect for the G/L NATION, weve had many battles some we won some you's won, I have to say it was real gang banging!!! not some of the sh_t you see today or some of the battles weve had with other mobs, the battles we had with the G/L'z was just that rumbles battles
one on one fighting, I dont thinkk alot of people can relate to
some of this, but if you can youll know what I'm talking about. Fully will never be the same with out you dudes around, I in my heart know that L/A ST. still stands as G/L even though we claim
it, us old G'Z Know the demo, going through there brings back lots of memories!!! JUST KEEPING IT REAL ALL YOU'S DO THE SAME

Commenting on racism, There was a nazi party rally in Kilbourn Park in '73. Most of the Gaylords attended, myself included and I can say that most of us disagreed with what the nazi's were
preaching, and we held the speaker in utter contempt. We darn
near ran the nazi's out of the neighborhood. We all realized that each individual has his own views and are entitled in the onstitution, one of our own members belonged to the nazi party. We also had native Americans, and some hispanic members.

Fantastic website! In the Brighton Park neighborhood where I grew up(also lived on Medill by Blackhawk Park for a few year, but I was way too young to know what was going on) there were no Gaylord sets that I knew of, but there were White gangs such as
the Almighty Young Savages, Borroughs Boys, Jokers, and a few
small neighborhood M/C gangs that were also fighting the battle to preserve the ideals & integrity of an honest area populated
by working class Irish,Polish & Lithuanian families that were being besieged by a tremendous influx of Hispanics that were
taking over the culture & ethics of a once proud family community. They also were overwhelmed by united sets of Southside gangs, such as Latin Kings, Latin Counts, Saints, etc. As with the Northside neighborhoods that the Gaylords tried to hold down, it just got to be too much to handle. My family left Chi in the early 70's, & on the occasions when I visit the old neighborhood, it's like visiting an alien planet. Much love & respect to the
Gaylords & all who have fought the good fight. I am very
interested in purchasing your published history of "The Almighty
Gaylords", & will watch your site for it's availablity. Again, great job & though I have never been a member I salute the Almighy Gaylords!

Wow, what memories! I remember alot of good times at K/P in the
early 70's. Wondering what happened to the rest of the m.g.t.
Lookin for my then time bro LiL Gun. I had a Jouster and a Royals sweater that Monster gave me up until a few years ago. Gary was one crazy dude, but he had alot of heart. Thats
one thing I can say about the G/L's, we had heart, we didn't mess with someone for the hell of it! Wondering what happened to the rest of the K/P G/L from that era. Lookin for my then time partner Lil Gun.

I became a PALMER STREET GAYLORD back when I was 16 years old,im 38 now..my older brother was a PALMER STREET GAYLORDS a few years before I got in the GAYLORDS,we never lived in a GAYLORD hood we always lived in the CPW ROYALS hood we had to fight are way in the ROYALS hood to get home and fight our way out to get to our hood,to one day my brother met this lady ROYAL and hooked up with her and my brother fliped like deuce and A c- note turned on his nation and on me..I was getting jumped by my brother and his boys
(ROYALS) they tryed to get me to flip to,but I got to much love for my nation the ALMIGHTY GAYLORDs..every day I got my ass beat by the ROYALS but I never backed down from them..I always had my
ways of getting them back one way or another..

Something from way back in the 80's...I remember 2 brothers who lived by me when I lived just west of Sayre Park...2 italian
dudes who plugged me in to glnation...I had to throw a gas bomb
into this dudes gararge and they gave me a detriot lions tocking cap...theses were sp gl homies...where are you bros...I found other GL but I can't find the dudes who put me in.

MY GOD THIS WEB SITE BRINGS BACK SOME WILD MEMORIES.GOOD AND BAD. I AM AN OLD ROYAL FROM FARWELL AND CLARK. WE LOST ALOT OF OUR BOY'Z FIGHTING THE GAYLORDS.ESPECIALLY THE PALMER CREW.ALOT
OF GUYS WERE KILLED ON BOTH SIDES.I HAVE ALOT OF THE SCARS TO
PROVE IT INCLUDING A BULLET THAT IS STILL IN MY BACK.I LOOK AT
