Received a letter yesterday from our Brother Monster who is presently in Cook County awaiting his next court date. He has been in since August 2002 and still does not know his fate. Please keep him and all of our Brothers behind bars in your prayers this Holiday Season. Monster has read the book "Lords of Lawndale" and enjoyed it. This is a tough time for all those guys inside. Monster's birthday is Christmas Eve so Happy Birthday my friend. I'd also like to wish a Merry Christmas to all the Brothers from Reinberg, Irving & Central and Dunham Park. After waiting almost 2
weeks for the book, I
finally received it
and it was one of the
best books that I have
ever read - I
definitely couldn't
put it down. Though I
really didn't know any
of the guys from LA, I
personally knew Rocker
and it was amazing
hearing his story. I
actually didn't meet
Rocker until he went
to Kilbourn for those
were the guys that I
hung out with
(Kilbourn and
Newport). But reading
the book showed me how
life really was for
these guys. I was
fortunate enough never
to be there when any
of these fights
occured - I pretty
much was just one of
the girls hanging out
with the guys - but I
now understand a
little bit better on
how things really
were - the behind the
scenes stuff. Just
wanted to commend
Rocker on the
wonderful book and
wish him well! Thanks

I would like to set ther record straight in regards to your C-note section. In the 80's we did not fade away at all but reorganized our operations to keep our rear ends out of sight. We didn't let the " hispanics" in the mix until the 90's, and it was no choice of the originals from the 80's. Also, we made the FAMILY Alliance to side with Noble street Italians in 1982, not the 90,s. If you have any questions about those days shoot me a note. I was really surprised by 2 things tonight one to find a Gaylord web page and second to find my card flashed in the web page. I must truly say that those days were just looking for adventure with out measuring the danger one often encounter I believe that After Spy's Death Friend and Classmate things got me thinking that the things we saw as a game were more serious than expected. Now as a Father and husband I look back to the 80´s and value the opportunity of being on both sides of the fence, Many laughs and experiences but my only personal regret is I learned through
the death of a friend. 20 years have gone by I really wonder is there anybody there...
