"Well let me start by saying I became a Gaylord in 1984! I think it was after Lil Rocker got killed, R.I.P Brother! We started as the Diversey and Kilbourn Street Gaylords. But we were always on Montana and Kilbourn that was are main block. No Folks dared to come down are block! After like two years the Folks on Fullerton were growing. We had the Disciples in front of us the Imperial Gangsters to the left and the Spanish Cobras on the right! And that?s when we became the Montana and Kilbourn Street Gaylords to keep them in place! I know the D's and the IG's and Cobra's will never forget us! But like all the sets the brother's familys started moving out. So we became smaller and smaller and let me tell you, for the last year on Montana there was just two Gaylords on Montana and Kilbourn. And we did what we had to keep it! Then Lil' Maddog moved out! Then there was me I did all I could to keep the hood. But then it was time for me to move. Let me tell you to the last day I was there the Folks still didn't walk down Montana Street! Those were the best years of my life!"
